About Schipper Ag Consulting
Rensinus Schipper was born and raised on a dairy farm in the Netherlands, where he combined hands-on experience with formal agricultural education, progressing from mid-level studies through to university.
In 2007, he moved to New Zealand and began working as a consultant in the South Island, broadening his expertise and focusing on improving efficiency and profitability on farms across both the South and North Islands.
He permanently settled in the Waikato in 2021, and in 2024 established his own consulting company. Today, he continues to provide consultancy services to dairy farmers, with a clear focus on profitability through efficiency and common-sense solutions.

FULL CONSULTANCY – 12 visits
Ideal for larger farms that need regular oversight with rations, cow condition and regular proactive adjustments, keeping consistency in productivity and management.
Providing a minimum 3-year strategy and 1 detailed annual plan per year, tracking the grass, feed, herds and milk in FARMAX, to ensure we meet the target, or adjust the strategy proactively, maximising the profitability potential.
Regular scheduled consultancy visits on-farm, every 4 weeks, assess your farm in person, and together go through the herds and paddock, looking at and discussing the observations.
Report on the observations and physical figures from the visit, and note any changes needed between now and the next visit.
FULL CONSULTANCY – 8 visits
Ideal for the New Zealand farms, working together with both owner, operator and staff, teaching each visit, the practical aspects and tracking the productivity and profitability.
Providing a minimum 3-year strategy and 1 detailed annual plan per year, tracking the grass, feed, herds and milk in FARMAX, to ensure we meet the target, or adjust the strategy proactively, maximising the profitability potential.
Regular scheduled consultancy visits on-farm, every 6 weeks, assess your farm in person, and together go through the herds and paddock, looking at and discussing the observations.
Report on the observations and physical figures from the visit ,and note any changes needed between now and the next visit.
FULL CONSULTANCY – 5 visits
Ideal for a contract milker or share milker, who will benefit from the services provided.
Providing a detailed annual plan per year, tracking the grass, feed, herds and milk in FARMAX, to ensure we meet the target, or adjust the strategy proactively, maximising the profitability potential.
Regular scheduled consultancy visits on-farm, every 8-10 weeks, assess your farm in person, and together go through the herds and paddock, looking at and discussing the observations.
Report on the observations and physical figures from the visit, and note any changes needed between now and the next visit.
CASUAL CONSULTANCY VISIT – up to 3 hours
Ideal for any farmer who has a current issue on-farm that needs amending or improving efficiency and with-it productivity of the moment.
Assess your herd in the paddock, looking at the multiple external attributes of about 70 animals, the pasture, and the current ration.
From the collated information, we can discuss the situation and what can be done to optimise it or overcome issues that have arisen.
Attributes include condition, coat, rumen, manure, the chews, the happy lines and behaviour.
Report on the observations and physical figures from the visit, and note any changes needed over the next 4 weeks.
